The darkness looms, as black as night,

and no more can I see the glimmer of light.

Waves of emotions, crash within my head

My heart's so cold, I may as well be dead.

What is pain but torment and suffering?

Sleepless nights, haunting thoughts bring.

Through the day, there is no daylight

No sunshine here, at all shinning bright.

As headaches and frowns, rain down above

This is a heartache, bitter lessons in love.
